Respite Care

What is Respite Care?

“Respite” refers to short term or temporary care which can be provided to individuals at our communities.  Family members/caregivers often seek respite care services in order to take a vacation, go out of town for work, or just to take a break from the daily routine of caregiving for a loved one.  Quite often, individuals use respite care services when an individual needs additional assistance following a recent hospitalization or major ailment.  Individuals can visit us under respite care services for a week to a few months.

What kinds of services are provided?

Residents that come to us for respite care receive the same amenities and services that our permanent residents receive.  Waltonwood provides a lovely furnished apartment with a bed, nightstand, dresser, chair, and a few additional items for our guest's convenience.  Waltonwood's experienced staff offers caring, professional assistance around the clock. We are dedicated to providing a helping hand with daily activities that may have become difficult for our residents to perform. A personal care plan will be customized to fit individual specific needs, and continuously monitored by our on-site nurse manager. And, should your needs evolve, rest easy knowing that our services and amenities can be tailored for your comfort and convenience.
