There are moments in life that remind us just how powerful history, resilience, and community can be—and a recent celebration at Waltonwood University did exactly that.
At 101 years old, Jenny Grzyb was honored in style, surrounded by loved ones and community members who came together to celebrate her incredible life. A true “Rosie the Riveter,” Jenny played a role in supporting the World War II effort by working on assembly lines that produced B-29 bomber engines—contributing to what was known as Detroit’s “Arsenal of Democracy.”
Her story goes far beyond her wartime contributions. From building a life centered around family, to enjoying hobbies like crocheting and dancing, Jenny’s 101 years are a testament to strength, joy, and lasting connection.
Stories like hers are powerful reminders of the generations that shaped our world—and the importance of celebrating them.
