Meet the Executive Director of Waltonwood Providence

John Ficker has been proudly serving seniors for 25 years. Prior to joining the Waltonwood team, he obtained a Master’s in Clinical Psychiatry from Western Kentucky with a focus on cognitive impairments in the elderly and a Master’s in Health Administration from University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a focus on Senior Living.

John also holds National Healthcareer Association and Assisted Living Administration licenses and has served 22 years as an administrator. His favorite part of the day is visiting with the residents at Waltonwood Providence and hearing their stories. Outside of Waltonwood, John lives in Charlotte, North Carolina. Together they have five beautiful girls and has a dog named Maverick who visits the Waltowood community every so often to spread happiness to their associates and residents.
