We are dedicated to ensuring unforgettable dining experiences that meet your dining and nutritional needs, without the hassle of meal preparation. Dining at Waltonwood is a sophisticated experience, complete with a warm and inviting ambiance that’s perfectly suited for indulging in your favorite foods, and discovering new ones.

Our gourmet meals are prepared with the highest quality of ingredients and care, and we work to create seasonal menus that will suit your needs, without sacrificing taste or variety. We also feature locally sourced foods whenever possible. Our chef’s creations are delicious, nutrient-dense meals that are tailored to our residents’ needs.

Additional culinary and dining options include:

  • Restaurant-style dining — Rather than limiting residents to a couple of standard entrée choices, we now have a menu that we rotate with the changing seasons, in addition to our daily menu selections.
  • Expanded dining hours and a wide selection of culinary options tailored to meet the specific needs of every resident
  • Exclusive chefs and hospitality professionals — In 2017, Waltonwood Cary Parkway added a pastry chef to our culinary staff, specializing in upscale creations that include homemade cheesecake.
  • Food as entertainment — In addition to our specialty pastry creations, we offer at-table food preparation as an entertainment service for our residents, such as Italian-inspired dishes.

Meet Our Executive Chef Andrew Fetzer at Waltonwood Cary Parkway

Andrew Fetzer’s passion for hospitality and cuisine started to develop at a very young age. Originally from Long Island, he and his family moved to North Carolina in 1989. His mother, a Regional Cake Decorator Instructor for Wilton, inspired him that food can be both elegant and delicious.

Shortly after High School, in 2002, he graduated from the Culinary program at Alamance Community College. Starting his career, Andrew learned under Chef Sam Poley at the Weathervane Restaurant in Chapel Hill, NC. Over the next 15 years, Andrew moved on to gain experience in hotels, corporate café’s and luxury retirement facilities.

At home, Andrew enjoys cooking for his wife Carla, an Orthopedic Nurse at Duke Regional. They have a 3 year old boy, Tristan, and another son expected around Christmas 2016. Physical fitness and good nutrition has been a part of Andrew's daily routine for over 10 years. His brother, Jason, is a Detective and S.W.A.T. member in Charlotte, NC. Andrew's father retired from Underwriter Laboratories as an Electrical Engineer this year.
